Don L. – Character Modeling Cartoon Study
This project is a character modeling Cartoon reproduction exercise based on *La Calesita*, an animated short film produced by Reel FX.
The goal was to faithfully recreate the main character “Don L.” while studying the stylized approach used in the original film. I focused on capturing the warmth and charm of the design, from the exaggerated facial features to the handcrafted feel of the clothes and materials.
The project includes:
- **Beauty, Diffuse, AO, Normal, and Wireframe passes**
- A **turntable** for full model inspection
- Rendered shots highlighting expressions and stylized lighting
I was responsible for the entire character pipeline: modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, shading, and presentation.
This work was part of a class assignment at Rubika Montréal, aiming to develop skills in stylized character reproduction and visual storytelling through 3D.
